As expected, Ohio lost two seats in the House of Representatives as a result of the last census. Republicans being in charge of the state legislature, thus in charge of redistricting,
this abomination resulted. I looked at it and said, "Where the hell's my old district?" Then I was all like, "Oh yeah, Republicans. It's fucking gone."
One totally unintended result of the new map is that long-time Democratic reps Marcy Kaptur and Dennis Kucinich are running against each other in District 9. One will win the primary, the other will lose and be out of Congress.
The GOP smells blood, so they're trundling out the big guns.
