I caught the very tail end of an interview with Craig Childs concerning his recent book
Finders Keepers: A Tale of Archaeological Plunder and Obsession. It was p interesting and he even mentioned about one "amateur" archaeologist who was fined millions of dollars for incidentally destroying ~10,000 years worth of finds. Of course, all I could think of was "It belongs in a museum!"
