The Devil's Backbone was excellent. It was directed by Guillermo del Toro of Pan's Labyrinth, Mimic, and Hell Boy I & II fame.

I have no idea what netflix instant is, but I would suggest seeing I'm Not Scared, Time Crimes, and Touching the Void.
