Null. Things I got in trouble for in second grade:
Reading incorrect books.
Reading the correct books incorrectly.
Not looking at the teacher correctly.
Looking out the window.
A vague air of disrespectfulness.
Plagiarism (I did NOT do that one).
And my punishment for all of those things was that she'd send me out to sit on a stool in the hall, facing the wall, and the teacher had recommended that I be moved to some sort of special ed class for the criminally insane or something. It got so bad that someone else at the school called my parents and told them my teacher hated me and they needed to get me out of that school before I was physically injured. (She did grab me by the ear and drag me out of a school play once because she said I was not supposed to laugh at the joke where they had a brain in a jar labeled "Brian," but I don't think any grownups knew about that.)
Fuck second grade, man. We need to get together some sort of rescue team or something where we go around saving kids from second grade.
