Mitch McConnell (Sleazebag, Kentucky) had a particularly disgusting op-ed piece in the local newspaper recently. He claimed that Republicans are desperately trying to get funding for anti-Zika measures, but that the mean old Democrats apparently hate pregnant women and babies, and so have been blocking every effort to get a funding measure passed.


Of course, he failed to mention all the "poison pills" that Republicans keep adding to such bills, like reducing funding for Planned Parenthood, defunding parts of the Affordable Care Act, and so forth.
