I'm in the bathroom at work and look down to make sure everything is still there and I'm not missing. Lo and behold, there's gum in the urinal. Seriously. How gross and inconsiderate do people really have to be. Someone will have to remove that you know; just because you couldn't bother to toss it in the trash near the door on the way in.
It would almost be worth the process of sanitizing my hand to bring it to the offending person and toss it on their desk. "Hey, you left this in the bathroom." I decided it wasn't worth the effort to ask around for the owner.
Sure, I've seen worse things in a public bathroom, but this seemed so pointless and it's worse knowing I'm working with the person who did it.
