Judge orders EPA to disclose any science backing up Pruitt's climate claims | Ars Technica
Scott Pruitt, Trump's anti environment head of the Environmental Protection Agency, mouthed off on CNBC about global warming is a hoax. This generated a FOIA request to provide supporting doc's, and a judge backed the request. The EPA (well, prolly just Pruitt and a coupla cronies) tried to weasel out, but the judge was not impressed.
Quote:
“The agency asks ‘how is one to even know precisely what documents one relies on in forming one’s beliefs?’” the judge wrote in her brief. “As the plaintiff points out, however, nothing in the FOIA request seeks information ‘about Administrator Pruitt’s beliefs or how they were formed.’” Instead, the FOIA only requests any agency documents that the administrator relied on to formulate his public statement.

Good article, worth a read. I hope I get to see some followup on how it all shakes out.
