Just compare these two videos of people resisting arrest. The first one just runs away, he's shot in the back and murdered. The second attempts to attack the officer, steal the cop car, chases the cop away... and even though the cop has his gun aimed at the guy the entire time, not shot.

Warning, the first video actually shows Patrick Harmon being killed.
