My father has told me he "did not move" a certain small orange box in a disused room and had nothing to do with its increasing state of disarray on my last three visits, and in fact has not even been in there despite the various crap he's stacked in there. And certainly has no knowledge at all of the vital hard drive stored in that small orange box.
Which I know from experience really means "I did not recognize it and therefore have no memory of distributing the contents of your box into five different boxes all over the house to be discovered seven years hence. Because fuck you, that's why."
I want to cry. I can't believe this has happened again.
