Trump, in his typical lack of emotional intelligence, is seen smiling and giving thumbs up during pictures with victims and first responders.

While I expect that lack of tact from our current President, I saw some people complain about the other people smiling in the picture.

I don't blame them at all, first, they've been giving the honor of meeting the President, even if the office is being held by a horrible human being. Second, it's pretty clear they're being asked to pose for a picture, and most people smile when posing for a picture.


The reason you se all these great pictures of Obama reacting with compassion is not only because Obama was a good person, but because he gave access and discretion to his official photographer. Trump would prefer to pose.
