My feet get too damned hot to wear shoes in my own damned house. When I need to protect my feets, I have this wonderful pair of slip-on leather sandals, with multiple woven straps reminiscent of
Jason and the Argonauts, that I've had for somewhere between 20-100 years. One strap broke recently, and another couple-few are on their way. I may not be able to save them.
