Newark Police chased and captured a stray pig Saturday morning in the 100 block of Lovett Avenue.
Officers responded to a report of a pig on the loose shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday.
The pig is described as black, about 20 pounds, with an injury to its “right rear hock,” according to Cpl. James Spadola.
The porcine perp was put into the back seat of a Newark Police cruiser and taken to the Kent County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
