Perennial mayoral candidate and local eccentric, Attorney Paul Tay, the guy wearing a cowboy hat,
crashed a Republican mayoral debate between Mayor Dewey Bartlett and Councilman G.T. Bynum to which he wasn't invited. The Mayor, who recently cut 15 dispatcher positions at the city's emergency response call center, called 911 only to be put on hold. The dispatcher feigned ignorance of who the hell was calling, transferred him to a police sergeant. "Paul Tay is interrupting our debate.... waaaaah." Tay, with some protest, left the building escorted by a Matt Damon look-alike, Lars Lindtner, a recent Rogers State University graduate and studio camera operator, "C'mon, Matt Damon, get me out of here!"
A few years ago, Paul Tay made headlines by riding his bicycle down the freeway with a giant inflatable penis in tow.
