So a while back, you remember there was some hoax story about a kid getting sent to do real prison time for swatting? There was a picture of a kid being led away crying and stuff.
Well, I wasn't anywhere near a real computer, so I just saw the story and didn't fact check or anything, and I was pretty happy about it.
And I don't know what the hoax part was. Was it supposed to be so ridiculous that someone who intentionally sent angry, armed intruders to someone's home to do violence to them would get a real, no kidding prison sentence?
People go to prison for all kinds of dumb shit all the time, and that is terrible. But the stuff they do is not just dumb shit.
