Pumpkin cheesecake is on the way....

So we cut up one of the biggest pumpkins first. Some things that were different from normal jack-o-lantern pumpkins: 1) the walls were thicker 2) there was therefore less pulp and seeds 3) it smelled of watermelon! :watermelon: That was pretty cool.

Here is a picture of the chopped up pumpkin with a dessert spoon for size

And here is 3/4 of that badboy steaming away in our two large steamers. Couldn't fit the whole thing in there!

It's all done now and cooling before I scrape out the pulp. Hoping to get a cheesecake done by bedtime so it's ready for tomorrow :piewedge:

Finally, we have a twisted hazel nut tree out front that Sou bought about 3 years ago. Today we harvested all the nuts:
