My grandmother is gone now. Apparently it happened this morning [ETA-I started typing this yesterday & didn't notice it was tomorrow already) while I was getting an epidural in my neck (figured it would be an appropriate way to spend Disgrace, uh, Inauguration Day). I found out when I woke up this afternoon.
So that was the final goodbye, no quotes. I feel like I already lost her a piece at a time, so I don't feel a lot of grief at this point. My Mom seems okay too. I head for the Central Valley for the funeral on Wednesday.
