Default Re: The Great Meep Controversy of 2009

My grandson's 5th grade teacher lets him read whenever and whatever he wants. She called him a "read-oholic". He can rip through a 500 page novel in two or three days of reading at school only, and then pass a special test on the book so he can get credit for reading it. The school has a grant that funds cash payments to students as reward for reading. It's only paid at the end of each term. Right now he's to be paid a little over $200 for reading this term. We went to the public library the other day to get books because he's read most of anything that interested him at the Pre-K-to-8th grade school library. I, for one, am glad he's a read-oholic, and a computer nerd. The kid wants me to send him to computer camp this summer. I'm going to try to find a way to do that.
