With the tech world both awash in psychedelic drugs and venture capitalist cults this is a question I've sometimes wondered myself. Why do psychedelics lead to greater empathy for some, but seemingly less empathy and more narcissism from others. The psychedelic hippie community is often so certain that if only people took the right drugs they would come to an understanding as a better person, but that's clearly just not the case, the richest open psychedelic user in the world is also emotionally a child with deep narcissistic issues.
