Maybe we could kill that association if we told the MRAs that they're wearing a woman's hat. The fedora was created for Sarah Bernhardt when she played Princess Fédora in the Victorien Sardou play, and it was worn exclusively by women for over three decades until Prince Edward of Britain started sporting one in 1924.
