A zombie thread would be one that is dead but appears to be alive. Rather like this one. If it comes back to life it isn't a zombie. So, when is a thread dead? If it hasn't had any posts for a week? A day? A minute? I nominate liv as the thread-killer on the basis that she's made 1,636 posts and thereby killed threads for at least a few seconds that many times.
What about euthanasia? Does this thread have a right to die in peace and dignity? We're keeping it alive against its wishes. At least what its wishes could be if it could have wishes. And express them. I know this.
