That is actually something that I've wondered why it wasn't being done. The way buying green power is generally structured now is pretty amorphous, it's hard to visualize exactly what is going on in the details of generation/distribution, you just know you are paying more. I have considered how much cooler it would be if people could buy a partial interest in an actual project and then get the some sort of periodic performance report. A coop between the developer and the general public sounds really interesting to me.
