TWiM #51: Cave science with Hazel Barton
I just finished listening to Hazel Barton talk about cave microbiology. The most interesting point:
- She thinks that some cave formation is assisted by microbes over geological time, typically by explaining how certain chemicals get into cave systems, like the CO2 in Carbonic acid is the waste product of microbes in the soil.
