Travelodge is very basic - just a room but you have to make your own arrangements for breakfast.
Premiere Inn is a bit nicer and always next to some pub/eatery where you also get breakfast. At last they now have free WiFi - used to be an extra. They are clean and comfortable but a bit boring - they are all exactly the same as each other.
Bed and Breakfast places are much more variable - but cheaper and more interesting if you're prepared to take a bit of a risk. Some B&B places are fantastic but it's difficult to find them - if you're touring then pot luck is about the best option - or play safe and go for the Premiere Inns (but there aren't very many in rural Wales).
