My argument for getting the good seat was that I had to be lucid during the driving. Especially on the M25 which sucks mightily. I think I am forgiven... but we'll see.
ETA: She will be hard-pressed to spit in my dinner as I do all the cooking. Hocking a lugee across the table will be pretty noticeable if she tries.
