The Daily Fail's all about outrage. These particular dirty foreigners can't be blamed for stealing "our" jobs or failing to "integrate" or whatever, so the outrage they select is at the government. Which has the added benefit of being v easy to whip up in this case.
eta: The "Trump" administration seems to be pervaded by sheer incompetence, and we aren't surprised by new cases any more. Not much.
But in Britain the continual reveals of
nasty actions supporting
nasty policies promoted by the
Nasty Party (and Mrs Nasty herself) seem entirely intentional and competent. The only apparent incompetence is them thinking they can brush these away as occasional mistakes.
