He approved all of those newsletters. He claims he didn't read them, which may well be true, but according to his former aide Eric Dondero he signed off on every page. That doesn't necessarily mean he personally holds those despicable views -- in fact there's a fair amount of evidence that it was a politically calculated attempt to appeal to the conspiracy/anti-government/affirmative action-is-racism-against-poor-benighted-white-mans crowd, a sort of Libertarian Southern Strategy -- but he sure as shit needs to cop to having personally approved of their distribution under his name.
Or is personal responsibility just a slogan to you?
