Occasionally he did stupid things like defending the gerrymander that is responsible for the loss of his Congressional seat, but on the whole he was
one of the few voices of reason in Congress. That alone, of course, means all the Establishment politicians and publications have to dismiss him as "crazy".
He will be missed. Hopefully he'll find someplace where his views are more likely to fit into the mainstream and run for Congress there in 2014. We need him.
