TNG cast reunion in Calgary on the 25th anniversary of the show's debut. They're adorable, of course.

Next up was Levar Burton. This one didn’t go too well either. I got him to sign my old General
Relativity textbook (Schutz) but, for some reason, he thought that I hadn’t yet paid for the autograph.
So, after he signed my book, I said thank you and turned to walk away and he (quite literally) yelled,
“HEY! YOU HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF THE BUSINESS!!!” Those were his exact words. True story.
How awesome is that? I just got (literally) yelled at by Geordi La Forge! What more could a Trek fan
ask for? I felt like Barclay being yelled at in engineering.

...and they arrived, at last, this morning from China. I ordered (and paid) for them December 26th. Cost me $252 U.S. They arrived today, January 25th. I had given up on them arriving. The seller had sent me no communication and the website had (temporarily as it turned out) closed down. I had started a claim with PayPal for a refund, but I've cancelled the claim now.
So now I have 96 DVDs to watch.

That was 48 DVDs, with 4 episodes each on the majority of them.
Now I have to start watching my complete TNG set.

So, I've now watched all of TNG too. Only took about four-and-a-half years since they arrived. What should I do next? Start watching DS9 again or maybe order some other series?

Re: Star Trek is awesome
So, I've watched the first couple of episodes of Voyager now.
One question: why is it that in DS9 and STV, the worst actor (from any of the main characters) is the 'Captain'?
I imagine the people who did the casting getting together after TNG - obviously they were never going to get such a good actor as Patrick Stewart again in the lead role, so they made a brave and daring decision: "Out of the troop of actors we have available, we'll pick the worst one and give him or her the starring part!"
Perhaps it was a good decision? Having a crappy actor as the 'captain' means that they don't have to pay the actor so much, and the actor is less likely to be lured away from the series to play other parts.

Re: Star Trek is awesome
I really love what they were able to do with the original series. Calling this "more of the same" is severely inadequate. My only is that's BluRay, because I'm still in the DVD era, like a damn refugee.

That clip was impressive. At the same time, though, the new version makes the space jellyfish look more like a visual effects prop than the original.
