Re: An Arf-Arf Here and a Meow-Meow There... E I E I O!
There are two new kittens in the colony. One is gray and the other is black. The black one is quite the scamp, S/he led my brother for a chase last night as he was trying to get him/her out of the garage. This morning s/he was lurking in a cinder block while I put the food out. The little munchkin backed up to hide from me but that just meant that most of his/her back half was sticking out the other side.

The Claw-Armed Bedspread: This terrifying creature is half furry leg and paw, half bedspread. It drags unsuspecting bits of mobile fluff under the bed, to be ineffectually gnawed upon by its bedspready teeth. Beware its largely inaccurate groping and cloth-hampered bite!
Re: An Arf-Arf Here and a Meow-Meow There... E I E I O!
I have a couple of those bedspreads too, SharonDee. You can come take naps on them if you want!
Zsa Zsa has been extremely busy for the past couple of days, serving as a pillow and a consoler of homesick children, and I guess last night, she accompanied my sister and her kids down to the guest quarters, where they had a slumber party. Then, this morning, a baby came to visit and that baby molested Zsa Zsa pretty hard. I was holding her and getting nervous because she has never been around a baby for more than a minute or two at a pop since I've had her; but she was very gentle and patient and gave that baby some very gentle little kisses as that baby pulled her tail and poked at her face and stuff. Then, the baby kissed her back. They were pretty in love, I tell you.
They've gone out for a couple of hours, and seriously, Zsa Zsa is exhausted. She's just catching up on her sleep right now. Can't even be fucked to get up to have a treat or anything like that.

You could do psych testing with the blaze of white on her chest. So far I've identified the Liberty Bell, an iris, a four-leaf clover that's been stepped on, and Mr. Peanut humping his top hat.

Oh ... funny video, too.
Gawd, I always make things all about ME!
But making it about yourself is part of empathy. Don't give it up.
Anyway, my parents had a chenille bedspread when I was young. Instead of little dots impressed in my cheeks, a single time occurred where I woke up after napping on it with half my face swollen, and my eyes glued shut. And that's how we discovered I had bad allergic reactions to some things.
And you folks would not believe the hassle I had to go through to get a blanket monster of my own, many years later.

My fambly just left this afternoon, and we need some time to recuperate and watch like a Lars Von Trier film festival to recover from ALL THE CARTOONS CONSTANTLY and stuff, but first, I need to provide a dog update.
So, Zsa Zsa bonded really hard with everyone, especially my sister and her two kids. She was basically my sister's dog by the time they left, and we are going to have to do some hardcore Stockholm Syndroming on her to win her affections back from that.
Also, obviously, she is in love with the kids. The other night, we were sitting on the couch, and the 8 year old was sitting on the floor making notes on a piece of paper. He'd write something down, then show it to Zsa Zsa, then look at her for a few seconds communicating telepathically (he developed this ability with her pretty quickly), then write again for a bit, then repeat. After a few times, he says, "Dangit! Zsa Zsa won!"

Oh hey did somebody say it's been a while since I posted a pic of PupF?
This is where he came home from the dog park and started to play with his toys but then fell asleep, until I woke him up pointing my phone at him and he was all wtf, dad, lemme sleep, damn.
Re: An Arf-Arf Here and a Meow-Meow There... E I E I O!
I like how the fact that he has about 5 toys underneath him doesn't keep him from napping. The Princess and the Pea he is not. Also I like his mad horse expression. Also EARS!1
Zsa Zsa has been going to a play group for a few weeks now at a shelter. It's just an hour long supervised playing time with other owned dogs plus selected shelter dogs. At first, Zsa Zsa was sort of confused, because she thought she was hired security for it, and kept barking at the puppies for playing too wildly, but she's starting to get the hang of it and is making a lot of new friends, including Troya there.
If we didn't have a cat, Troya would probably be here right now.
