It's a snack for people who consider "fried chicken" health food.
If you eat bad food for long enough you end up eating even worse food. This thing ends up like a glazed donut covered in melted butter inside. Likely as much butter as one would get on movie popcorn if the kid is generous with the pump.
I went on a diet for a while and when I tried to eat something unhealthy my body wouldn't let me. "Food" that I would have gladly eaten before was now repulsive and made me physically ill.
I saw a ~10 year old girl the other day drinking out of a 2 liter bottle of Coca-Cola soda pop. She was already round enough that I could see diabetes and a scooter in her near future.
In fact the first thing when you went into the fair was a scooter rental tent. I did see a couple of really old people in scooters, but 99% were just immobile due to weight.
WALL-E was like a documentary on State Fair attendance. Except the people on board weren't as large.

Re: First World Problems
Amazon must be actively slowing down free shipping to try to piss you off enough to sign up for Prime. I used to get shit in just a day or two with free shipping on a regular basis. Since Prime, that never happens. Stuff gets here no earlier than the earliest expected date, and sometimes past the latest. Fark Amazong. They're not the only drop shipper on the planet.

Re: First World Problems
Yeah, I've noticed the same thing since we cancelled Prime.
The main reason that I canceled it was that we were ordering from Amazon too much because it was too easy and too quick. So the fact that they're 'throttling' us now helps. Now we don't order from them unless there's no other reasonable choice.

Re: First World Problems
You really need to think of Jeff Bezos. How's he going to ever be a gazillionaire if you don't pony up for Prime. He might have to cut out the warehouse Christmas bonuses to make up the difference now. Just because of you.
They already had to turn off the warehouse AC.

My avocados aren't ripe yet. I keep going back to check them every half hour or so today, and STILL NOT RIPE.
I really want an avocado right now instead of the other dumb food that is ready to eat.

Every half an hour? You could miss the window of ripeness for an avocado.

Re: First World Problems
I have too many cameras and lenses. Now when I travel my bag is too heavy from all the lenses and camera junk, I worry I brought too many of the wrong lenses, I miss shots changing lenses, or think of the better shot I could have gotten with the right lens.
I did however get a couple of good pictures one day but sore muscles hiking with my largest lens (camera and lens is roughly 8-9 lbs (4kg)). I also fell and scraped my knee almost to the bone on a rock while tossing the camera in the dirt and jacking up my hand and wrist a little.
I was lucky the mountain broke my fall after a short distance of ~1.53 ft (.466 m), unlike the guy who died last week taking a selfie.

The Bed & Breakfast that I booked for New Years - 3 nights, just wrote me that they are closing that weekend and going on a cruise.

Re: First World Problems
I just read news about my new 3d printer's shipping schedule, and I should not expect it until December or January. That makes the dual filament rack I recently purchased mostly useless until then.

No, it was a pre-order situation, and they had 4 batches. The first shipment was more expensive than the 4th. Because I'm cheap, I picked the 4th. I get to wait.

Re: First World Problems
We were invited to 3 events on same evening. All too far away from each other to squeeze in even 2 of them.

Re: First World Problems
Mrs. Reason's birthday is the same day as my work's holiday party. I have to tactfully decline the holiday party.
BONUS: I was at a conference all day, now I'm helping debug a problem in the evening.
BONUS #2: I made a cheeky Linus Torvalds joke to the people at the Linux Foundation booth. In repentance, I made a cheeky reference to Notch.

Re: First World Problems
I'm going to my work Christmas party while Miisa is here (partners not invited). Yes, I will feel guilty. Yes, I'm still going.
#2: A joke not good enough to share with us?

We were casually talking about talking to so many people, and I jokingly asked if they had to take sensitivity training. It's not very funny, all in all.
I did admit that Linus is actually taking steps to improve himself, unlike Notch, who apparently used the millions (billions?) he got from Microsoft to become a right-wing troll.

Re: First World Problems
EUGHUGH.
I just updated my Plex server, and it re-messed up a bunch of stuff that I had fixed. For one thing, if Plex doesn't recognize a movie right away, it labels it as Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted. It even downloads the information for it, and sometimes the title card.
That really bugs me.

As a Christmas Bonus we were all given a $100.00 gift card to a specialty grocery shop - located NO WHERE NEAR ME.

Re: First World Problems
There were a bunch of boxes in a common area and they were creating a hazard, so they moved them into my office. I have decorated them accordingly.
(please don't use those labels to reverse engineer any intel about where I work)
