BRB, preventing a heart attack.
Published study on sex two times a week decreasing heart attacks.
http://articles.mercola.com/sites/ar...k-by-half.aspx
OF COURSE, women were not included in the study, well in the heart attack aspect. They probably had a (hah) hand in the actually research.
This one is ripe for the off-color punning!

Q: Is more better? To what level? Does masturbation count? Or, is it the partner? How about multiple partners?

Re: BRB, preventing a heart attack.
Well, I did link to the study.
If only some one had access to the Journal of Cardiology to do a follow up. I can only access abstracts.
Although I think it's funny that it's embedded in a Eli-Lily study on erectile dysfunction, I guess they are looking for more justification for Viagra type research (Pfizer's product).

Re: BRB, preventing a heart attack.
It does get the heart rate up, even if only for a short while. Those that don't have sex regularly and don't exercise don't even get that much.

It's probably like alcohol: 21 units a week for men, 14 units for women. How straight men get their extra 7 units is up to them, but now it's medically justifiable. Honestly, dear.

Unfortunately, the paper only talks about "frequency of sexual activity", whatever that is, without being more specific. The categories considered are more than twice a week, twice a month to once a week, and once a month or less.
Quote:
We propose several
possible explanations for these findings. The frequency
of sexual activity (in our data, this could include intercourse
or other activity) is a variable that might include libido,
erectile function, and the capacity for physical activity. As
such, persons with the desire for, and who are able to
engage in, frequent sexual activity are likely to be healthier
in ways not necessarily captured by our data. However,
rather than simply serving as a proxy measure of overall
health, sexual activity in some forms has a physical activity
component that might directly serve to protect cardiovascular
health. Third, the frequency of activity might also serve
as an additional marker of ED disease severity beyond what
is captured in our ED measure. Finally, men who have
frequent sexual activity might be more likely to be in a
supportive intimate relationship with a regular partner; this
might also improve cardiovascular health through stress
reduction and social support. A proxy for a supportive
relationship with a regular partner, marital status, was included
in the models but did not explain our findings.

I guess it's any kind of sexual activity, even just staring at women's breasts.
