I said, those jobs have left Ohio. They’re all coming back. They’re all coming back. Don’t move, don’t sell your house.
We’re going to fill up those factories or rip them down and build new ones. After years and years of sending our jobs and wealth to other countries, we are finally standing up for our workers and for our companies. ... We never again will sacrifice Ohio jobs and those in other states to enrich other countries.
General Motors said Monday that it planned to idle five factories in North America and cut more than 14,000 blue-collar and salaried jobs in a bid to trim costs.
Yeah yeah, I know. GM announced a billion-dollar profit in the third quarter and just benefited to the tune of another $500 million in tax breaks. So what? The price of GM stock has been flat - FLAT, I say. What the fuck is Mary Barra, the CEO of GM, supposed to do with less-than-primo stock options? Get by on her $22 million annual salary? lol don't be silly.
Naturally, one of the GM facilities involved in today's announcement is the vehicle assembly plant in Lordstown, Ohio, a pillar of the Youngstown-area economy since the mid-1960s. I remember GM opening the plant to public tours not long after its opening. Our whole family piled into the car and headed toward Lordstown to take the tour, but we couldn't get anywhere near the place because of the traffic. I lived in the area for the first 32 years of my life, and knew dozens of people who worked on the Lordstown assembly line. Handwriting's been on the wall for awhile now, what with operations dropping from three shift to one over the last year and a half, but it blows just the same.
Makes ya wonder exactly how much more winning we can take.

This year we'll file our first tax returns after the new code goes into effect. I don't know what to expect. I think I read that the new standard deduction is doubled from what it used to be. I don't know if that means we'll pay less taxes relative to what we used to pay? Suppose the close to median earners find they do benefit significantly from the new law with either bigger refunds or smaller year end tax bills? How much would that do for tRumps approval rating? I feel like that's pretty much his last chance to avoid ushering in his own undoing, short of the all but guaranteed war bump.

Like I'm not even sure what we will see in them, but ever since a crook, liar and mentally small child told us not to look, I've wanted to see what shit was in or not in his tax returns.

Twitter allowed someone to invade my text with a disgusting anti-President message. The same thing-period no space-occurred later and it didn’t happen. Don’t tell me they are not committed cardcarrying anti-Trumpers. Time Magazine also may fit that description. FAIRNESS PLEASE

I didn't get this initially, apparently Giuliani accidentally typed something that Twitter thought was a URL, so an observant person bought the URL and put an anti-Trump message on the page.
This is how "Twitter allowed someone to invade my text with a disgusting anti-President message". Technically, that's true, because he doesn't know how to work Twitter, not due to Twitter's bias.
Yeah but this is the GOP, clearly that he doesn't know how to work twitter or the internet is proof that twitter is biased against him. If twitter wasn't biased against him, he would know how to work it.
Plus it's not just Twitter. Autolinking text that looks like a URL is a common practice, to the point that one of the bigger copyright trolls was extorting sites and applications that implemented that.
He doesn't just not know how Twitter works. He doesn't know how any of the cybers work.
This morning, an NPR commentator argued that part of the reason why so many people are lionizing George H. W. Bush and talking about how he represents a bygone era is because of Trump -- because after all, nobody would ever associate the words "duty," "honor" and "decency" with the current resident of the White House.
