Re: Miscellany
No word yet on which TV psychic got the first beyond the curtain interview with her.
(According to the Wiki even her final prediction was wrong, predicting her death at 88).

Re: Miscellany
No doubt her supporters will point out that she died at 77 which is another double-digit age 'only one away' from 88. Frauds Psychics often use this kind of rationalization.

Doing well, liv! Have to take it very easy for about a week. Apparently the fragment they removed from my spine was larger than anticipated. Hard to see these things in MRIs, I guess. Procedure was a micro lumbar discectomy.
I can actually stand without doubling over in pain within 3-5 seconds. There is pain where the incision was made, of course, but I get happy drugs tomorrow for that.
|
I had that done not too long ago. It really worked for me and it heals pretty quickly. Hope it works as well for you as it did for me!
|
oh yeah - an the remaining pain? In my case that was caused by the swelling from the operation. It went away too. All I have now is a mild twinge about 10 inches higher than where the original sciatic pain used to be.

Re: Miscellany
Oh hey. I'm okay. I'm poor again so I am working on finding a new source of money. Art classes weren't the greatest idea and I still have to take quite a few classes to graduate from my current school. My student aid was taken away, not because of my GPA, but because I was mostly taking elective courses (I think). I have three weeks to decide whether or not to begin taking out student loans (or figure something else out), but I would rather transfer credits and move to a university if I am going to start building debt, if only I hadn't had social reasons to stay here for another semester, so I'm kind of at a crossroad, considering.

Re: Miscellany
I saw a Korean newsclip today. It said there was a book found inside a statue at a Korean Buddhist temple. The book is a journal dated 1378. Unfortunately, I can't find anything about it on the internetz, no matter how hard I google.
The interesting thing about it is that it contains Hangul writing, which wasn't supposed to have been invented until the mid 15th century. In any case, Hangul is an interesting subject all of its own, a tale of snobbery elites suppressing a simple but perfectly effective phonetic alphabet. They favored a more complicated idio/logogramatic writing. This kept most of the population illiterate until early in the last century.

Re: Miscellany
What a lovely weekend I've had. The Ritz is fabulous - like going back in time. There was a harpist and a choir and the food and tea was just perfect!
Shame it's been spoiled by a stupid so called friend posting shit on Facebook about the dinner yesterday. I just don't understand why she did it. Of course, I've now commented because I'm mad at her, adding to the situation. But why the fuck do grownups act like 15 year olds on FB?
