Re: Miscellany
Looks like the end is really here.

Re: Miscellany
From now on*, I'm going to use that shorthand notation every time I talk about myself and/or others. However, since I usually won't know at least one of these items most of the time, I'll assign them arbitrarily.
I (47/M) found Ymir's blood's (28/F)** post very amusing. I'm sure Mr. Pea (79/M) feels the same way, as does Bort (12/M).
* That is, until I forget about it or it becomes no longer amusing. That is, prolly about 5 minutes from now.
** not necessarily intended but I will take responsibility for all social damages inflicted.

Ooh, I like this quote from the comments as well:
Quote:
I have a feeling that starting a fight with him might be like playing chess with a pigeon. It doesn't matter what you do he'll just knock over all the pieces, shit all over the board and strut around like he's victorious.

Those are the things I noticed as well.
It takes a lot of self-control not to send him the video though.
If it were me, I'd really want to post the video on YouTube and send him the link.
No words or arguing, just the video. It probably wouldn't do any good, because he clearly has no shame, but yeah.

Re: Miscellany
You want rainbows, here's your rainbow.
I took that on Wednesday in Toronto near the end of the Manchester City vs Toronto FC match. Horribly inconvenient for them to have it in the middle of the week, but I dutifully took my last two vacation days to go. It was glorious! I was seated directly behind where the City manager sat, and you can see how close I was to the field. All through the drive in I kept hearing there were thunderstorms predicted, but they stayed to the north of us and I only felt a single drop of rain through the entire match. All my favorite players except one played, and that one happened to walk by during the match so I at least saw him. I'm a very happy Janet today.

Re: Miscellany
When I heat up or even just move the electric kettle, it makes a chuck-chuck sound in the sink, which is a foot or two away. When I first heard it, I'd just gone to heat up some water and it sounded like there was an animal scratching under the sink. But then it stopped after the kettle turned off, and I just get a single CHUCK! when I remove and then put the kettle back in its base.

When did Charles Fristians move to Colorado? And why is he so afraid of the adorable pibble doges that he hides under the sink?

Do you have one of those garbage disposal mincer things under the sink? It sounds like a bad earth return on the wiring could be causing the interaction.

If nothing else, she and others now know what Gaslighting is and why it happens. It's such a textbook thing for abusive, controlling, manipulative people to do I hadn't really thought about that some people might not be familiar with it.

Oh, I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about. I've never gaslighted you.
But you're always imagining things like that, aren't you? Remember that day you thought you were wearing a hat, and eventually everyone else just got tired of arguing and started humoring you, like, "Hey, nice hat"?

Re: Miscellany
So I'm kinda excited because I just got some srs conformation of something I've suspected for awhile. You see I've always been bad at math. Specifically long strings of numbers. The concept of what was happening was easy enough to grasp but working it out was a chore, the steps would be right but the answer was wrong. Had teachers ask me stuff like "Where did you get that number?" so much I just thought I was dumb.
Ends up my brain likes to swap numbers around. I just got a facefull of that happening a few minutes ago. I needed the dimensions of the top image on Facebook so I googled it. Clicked on google images since there were a bunch of templates with the number right in my face. Every one read the same thing, but I couldn't figure out why one of the sizes looked off. I looked again and saw the craziest thing. So I've got this display full of the same image containing the same numbers and the numbers sort of..realigned right in front of me. It was madness.

Good gawds I could barely get the internets to tell me what it meant.
Apparently Webster's has gone from 'yeah, we're free, what's the big deal' to 'W00T, WE OFFER YOU A FREE 14 DAY TRIAL (if you gives us your credit card number and a list of your ancestors that goes back 20 generations)' Had to look it up in Spanish in the end

curses, it's prolly my fault for discombobulating you with that super cute bunny picture. It's just too dangerous. I'll lock up in the Sekrit Vatican library next to the original audio file if WTC7 demolition.

Pustulose isn't in the American Heritage College Dictionary we keep at the desk, so now I have to walk across the room to the OED like a goddamned refugee.
