When I was in Ann Arbor last week I was so intrigued by a "Robot Supplies" storefront I stopped in my tracks to read the writing on the windows and look at the displays, and very nearly went in to ask how it could possibly stay in business in 2010. I mean, how many robots are there, really? I mentioned it to my nieces later on that night and one of them explained that it's actually a front for a group called
826 that offers tutoring, workshops and other services to needy schoolkids. In fact she wants to start a chapter in Arizona when she gets out of college. Pretty neat.
