I binge watched Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt on Netflix -- yes Bort, your harassing PMs totally worked -- and I lolled early and often. There are some cringeworthy elements (wtf is with the Lakota parents and the Chuck Lorre-level characterization of Dong) which I hope will be worked out in the second season. Meanwhile, I was highly entertained.
Then, in episode 10, something happened at the end that was so great I felt like I was being assumed bodily into heaven. I have rewound that part like 10 times already. I expect I will do it dozens more times.
I don't want to spoiler you nice peoples, so I'll just say that all old movie fans MUST watch this series for episode 10 alone.
Hey, I just watched up through pinot noir last night! It is good, and I was going to post today to make sure Ensign Steve has seen it. Mostly because of the Febreeze, but also, it would be a good show for Ensign Steve even without that.
(Actually, I fell asleep during that episode and woke up at the beginning of the pinot noir video, so I need to rewatch that one.)
Wow, I just binge watched this today when I was supposed to be working. (Fuck you, Cumpnee. This is the weekend!) First I did the first episode of House of Cards, then started Unbreakable. Just figured on drama, then comedy, then drama, etc. But nope, the comedy grabbed me and stole my Sunday afternoon/evening.
So right on episode 10, liv. I didn't realize how much I missed ... that guy ... since giving up cable.
It's that sunny face of Kimmy's that kept me watching, though. Even when she was down, she really wasn't (or didn't seem to be). There will be more episodes, I hope?
Because I can never get enough of the opening credits, here is the full non-songified interview with the witness followed by the extended version of the song. I love where the "unbreakable" line comes from.
I started watching this past week (it kept popping up in "recommended for [ShottleBop]"), and watched the first four episodes. Then I let my son catch up. We're just past the audition episode. Would have watched more yesterday, but it was my birthday, and I (i) went to see "Chappie" with my son (not Oscar-worthy, but I think its Rotten Tomatoes rating is low), and (ii) had a picnic dinner with friends and family on a beautiful evening in Old Town State Park, and then went to see a local (excellent) production of "My Fair Lady". (My only quibble is that the female lead, who had an impeccable voice, occasionally forgot to drop her aitches when singing.)
I tried Googling this and couldn't find an answer: Did Titus sing that Let It Go song at that party?
I realized a pretty long time ago that I had never actually heard that song, and then I decided to see how long I could make it before I did, and I think that show just made me lose the game.
Well, he didn't sing the whole song if that makes you feel better. But yes, that's the start of the chorus of that song. I'm truely sorry for your lot. I will pyar for you.
I shamefully confess that there have been vast stretches of time during my life in which I've straight-up forgotten how awesome Carol Kane is. I expect that Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt has put an end to that foolishness permanently.

I am rationing the episodes so as not to myself in an obscene and grotesque display of gluttony. Two episodes in and I haven't stopped laughing. No beats have been missed.
Oh shit! I knew there was a new season out, but I forgot that Netflix releases their stuff binge-style in that the whole season is out! Have not watched. Should. Will.
