Cynthia McKinney, I vote for her right to not be treated as a criminal.

Re: Caribou Barbie is at it again
I'm glad to hear it.
But I take it that's a "no" on trying to answer my good-faith question about how Obama can be my hero if I have nothing but contempt for the man. Yeah, I didn't think even Mr. Birther Mc-What-Is-the-Color-of-HIV would want to try tackling an argument that illogical.

Re: Caribou Barbie is at it again
Can you clarify who you were referring to as the "one side" for whom Obama is "their hero", then, or would that leave too much room to manipulate the game?
As Watser? pointed out, I think you'll be hard pressed to find anyone here who views Obama as any kind of hero. I think the warmest reaction he gets around these parts is "preferable to George Bush or to a hypothetical John McCain administration in at least some ways". That's my opinion, and I'm a person who voted for him, volunteered for him, and intends to do both again.

Right. You just said "I just find it amusing to watch the attacks by partisans for one side whilst excusing their own hero" in the context of a discussion about Barack Obama, while not meaning to imply anything about any particular person here. You just suffer from an irresistible impulse to make irrelevant observations, like a Tourette's Syndrome for trolls.

Awesome! Yep, that's "Citizens United" as in the Citizens United of infamous Supreme Court decision fame.

Yeah...
Citizens United spends big in Ohio - Dave Levinthal - POLITICO.com
Eliminating tenure and introducing a merit system will allow politicians to fire any teacher or fireman or cop they want, thus reinforcing an already corrupt patronage system. Bringing corporate practices to public employment won't help matters.
Anyway...at least Sarah is making a few bucks on the deal.

There's no stopping this ! Next stop, Crazytown! All aboard! Watch the closing doors.
Sarah Palin is gone, almost forgotten - Salon.com
Quote:
“We can’t just preach to the choir; the message of liberty and true hope must be understood by a larger audience.”
The very next paragraph is a full-on howl in defense of preaching to the choir:
Focus on the 2014 election is also imperative. It’s going to be like 2010, but this time around we need to shake up the GOP machine that tries to orchestrate away too much of the will of constitutional conservatives who don’t give a hoot how they do it in DC. DC is out of touch, obviously. Voices on the right like Mark Levin, Rush, and the writers here at Breitbart have come out strongly against the “go along to get along” politicians who wave the white flag before the battle even begins. We’re not going to be able to advance the cause of limited constitutional government unless we deal with these big government enablers on our side. And this all ties into the problem of crony capitalism and the permanent political class in the Beltway. We need to consistently take them on election after election – ever vigilant.

Re: Caribou Barbie is at it again
Palin made $15.85 for every word she spoke.
Not a bad job if you can get it. Of course, in this case it meant working for Fox "News" and being an uncultured moron grifting other uncultured morons.

I dunno. While I can imagine Sarah saying something like that, right now the only source on it is the Daily Currant.

Re: Caribou Barbie is at it again
I totally bought it at first. Then I started to think about it and realized it was way too coherent to be from Palin. Maybe the Palin of a few years ago but this years version seems to be much more into political freeform association, never landing on any single topic long enough to complete a full thought.
I do wonder if one day we will find out it's all actually due to a tumor or genetic error and will end up with a rare genetic disease named after her.
