For me, a side benefit of eating "hot" chillies, is it clears the sinuses and makes sure the tear ducts are working.

At the Himalayan Grill - literally the only consistently good restaurant in Flagstaff - ordering "hot" will hurt you, BADLY. My brother who is normally more gung-ho than I am sticks with Medium these days. Truth be told, I've been asking for half way between medium and hot (which just feels wrong), but I figure any meal my brother can't finish on account of the heat is probably hazardous to the community at large. As it is, the half way order is enough to make my eyes water and my heart warm (in a couple ways, actually)

Spicy food doesn't give me heartburn, it's the chips, the carbs that do it to me. Without high carb food, I can lay the peppers on and never get heartburn.

I hear in Minnesota they sell Pace Salsa with a blue lid that means no heat at all. Why not just eat a can of tomatoes with your chips.:fuming:

There are no peppers in it? Isn't that just runny ketchup? :chin:

Probably, I bet they did away with any onions, garlic or cilantro too.

chilis don't kill pain. They just cause a bigger, more distracting pain, somewhere else.
