Meh. I told the agent they had their three days and I was ready to move on to the next house, but he's all "wait! wait! let me call them." I'm thinking somebody other than the owner screwed up somewhere. Whuteva.

My computer decided to switch off last night due to overheating (fair enough) ... and then not switch on again (yikes). Not even a click or a flicker, just the orange power light.
Left it overnight. This morning, thoroughly cooled down ... the same. 
It might not be too bad, as most of my data is backed up and the thing is under warranty, but still.
Then, while I was sitting reading, I heard the fan start up. It managed to recover all by itself ...  So I'm using it now, but busily backing up everything recent.

We're making an offer on another house today. 
We like this house a lot better than the first, so we're kind of glad the first guys didn't take our offer. We'll be a lot gladder if we get this house!

That's such great news Ensign and bey!  Y'all are the third couple I know who are buying a house this month. Must be something in the water (or economy  )
What's up with me is that my landlord is the bomb and is turning my regular concrete steps to the second floor into a terracotta/handpainted Mexican tile extravaganza. And he fixed the fountain so that it's bubbling again. Love that guy! And I'm finalizing a decision for going (or not) to Galapagos in February... decisions, decisions. For the moment, do I want perfect teeth and a few trips to visit friends or the experience of a lifetime? Gotta budget!
