Re: Has Your Life Changed?
We've been ordering stuff on line that we would normally go to a store and touch, sniff, weigh, compare to the other three... Kind of weird, but office and hydroponic supplies are not all that critical or personal.
A car is different. We just got our first hand-delivered car today. Bought it without having seen, test-driven, compared or even ever heard of it before*. It's standing in the driveway, patient, unquestioning; abandoned by the only human it's ever known (Jodi - she's very nice), untouchable by us until tomorrow morning, when we take it grocery shopping.
Looks OK - actually, it looks a lot like our old car, which Jodi took back to the mother ship.
*We need reliable transportation out here and we always buy the bottom-tier Hyundai, which is usually trouble-free for 5-6 years. They replaced the Pony (which was good) with the Excel (best car I ever had), which they replaced with the Accent (good enough to get three in a row) which they have now discontinued and replaced with something called Venue, which is described as "a pocket SUV" (huh?)
We shall see. No road trips for a while....
