Twitter has been everywhere the last week or so, on the Today show, Fox morning show, Attack of the Show reported that Barbara Walters and the View girls broke it mid week.

I'm on facebook and it's great for me. Great balance of news from my friends and a fast interesting way of sharing photos and links among all of us. I'm not much of a phone person. Long distance friendships are hard to keep up for me. Actually, cross town relationships are hard for me. My friends complain about it all the time. Facebook lets me let them know how I'm doing, and I can check in with them and see how they are doing without loosing thirty minutes in a phone conversation.
I have found and reconnected with old friends, and I have networked with people I met once at and had a real friendship grow out of it. Might not have happened without it.
I remember in my social pychology class, discussing proximity as being one of the key ingredients as to whether or not a relationship will begin or maintain. They are social networking sites, and I think they work well for what they are intended. I'm a happy customer anyway.
