Me neither.

I was dreadfully mistaken about the flabbergastedly though. It's all over the interwebs. Even as a username on forums.

There's a simple explanation for this. John B Thompson is Sarah Palin's nom de plume.

It reminds me a bit of Stephen Colbert's book titles, I AM AMERICAN (AND SO CAN YOU) and America Again: Re-becoming the Greatness We Never Weren't.

I've heard 'used to was' before, but I can't remember where. It's maybe some kind of intensifier or just an idiom.

Used to was, you had to go to the library or something and search linguistics journals and search on habitual past aspect and hope someone would mention it, but now you can just type in a unique construction like that and find examples:

SZA - Child's Play (Ft. Chance The Rapper) (Prod. by XXYYXX) [Lyrics] - YouTube

In Thompson's book, it's the way the Tlingit (Native Alaskan tribe) say it.

I went on Amazon to read the reviews and found a couple more gems:

Quote:
The Contra Mundum Collection is a series of writings that counter the jetsam and flotsam of rank secularism and liberty-strangling socialism. Enjoy.
Please someone tell me this one is a joke. Endorsed by the likes of Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, and Ted Nugent.

Quote:
Parent, if you have a young son and you want him to grow up and be a man, then you need to keep him away from pop culture, public schools, and a lot of Nancy Boy churches. If metrosexual pop culture, feminized public schools and the effeminate branches of evanjellycalism lay their sissy hands on him, you can kiss his masculinity good-bye because they will morph him into a dandy.
And I know we've had a discussion on this one before, but I had to include it because George Alan Rekers.
