Kael - I'll race you. I've watched the whole run of TOS and the first 5 seasons (every episode) of TNG over the past few weeks (33 episodes last Sat/Sun alone!). When I'm done with TNG I'll probably start Voyager unless directed otherwise by :ff:.

You'll definitely win. I'm only about halfway through season 2 of TNG right now. I think I'll watch TOS next, I never have watched all of the episodes before. Maybe DS9 or Voyager after that.

Of course it does. But nearly a year ago would have been the time to make the reference.

How does the Enterprise get back to the 24th century at the end of First Contact? I can't remember and it's been bugging me all day. They didn't just handwave it, did they?

They replicate the tachyon wave emission that the Borg used to get into the past. So, yes, basically handwavium leviosa.

Even the Social Security Administration realizes that Star Trek is awesome. We got a pile of their new Boldly Go pamphlets and bookmarks at the library yesterday. I'm not sure what Patty Duke has to do with Star Trek, but I'm sure not going to complain when the government asks me to put George Takei's picture up in the library.

Do they slingshot around a planet?

That is how they usually do it.

Or is that how you get whales?

I sent the Canadian Borg picture to General Claire of Canadian World Domination. Thank you for making the perfect birthday present for her.

Caught Cause and Effect last night on tv. I don't normally watch TNG re-runs, but that is a quality episode. I said to Sou, 'oh this is a good one, let's watch it' and she made a noise that was sort of like *snork* and looked at me with a quality Sheldon-look-of-derision and rolled her eyes.

Then about 10 minutes later she said 'Is this the one where they keep repeating the same thing over and over? I really like this one, it's a good one'

Am I the only one who gets a shiver down their spine every time they hear JLP shouting "All hands abandon ship, all hands abandon ship"?
