Did any of you happen to watch the King Tut mini-series on Spike TV? It is clearly a largely fictional narrative. That is pretty understandable given that we know so very little about the actual facts of his short life. So that didn't particularly bother me. I expected that. What really leaves me scratching my head is why they portrayed the Mitanni (the enemy in the story) as black Africans. We know that the Mitanni were a Hurrian people from N.W. Mesopotamia and that they were probably ruled by an Indo-Aryan elite. So why portray them as black?
