I don't like being able to see my post count and know what it means. It reminds me that I've been here for so many years and have so few posts.
Oh and I'd like to have the feature added that automatically erases all posts on Uthgar's profile...

On the edit options screen I'm seeing an extra check box... or a check box whose message got deleted.

Re: Forum Upgrade 2008
Dave hasn't had a chance to revert all the templates yet, so that's why there are still a number of missing links and phrases.
We'll get it all worked out soon, promise.
Running list:
Roman Numerals post count add-on
"thanks" tracking in profile
"show threads" from main page
greek letter icons on forum index
nested quotes
portal: today's birthday's = "array"
navbar: missing "edit profile" link in "user tools"
navbar: missing "open buddy list" link in "quicklinks"
ucp: missing custom user title field
ucp: missing "edit profile" link in ucp under "settings & options"
ucp: missing "buddy/ignore lists" under "micellaneous"
ucp: missing link under "private messaging"
"user tools" -> "buddy/ignore lists" links to dead page

Re: Forum Upgrade 2008
Can search engine robots fool around in the new profile albums if you select 'public' or can just board members see them?

Re: Forum Upgrade 2008
vm, I'm not sure how I keep tripping it, but when I click on Show Threads and then New Posts, I get a message about waiting 5 seconds between searches. Problem is, I *think* I'm getting that message the very first time I click the thing after I've been offline.
ETA: meh. I just got it again. I know it took me longer than 5 seconds to type and post the message.

Same here. But that's only getting the "show threads" link to work at all.

Also, I'm seeing 12 hour time (e.g. 07:43 PM) even though my profile options have 24 hour time.

Re: Forum Upgrade 2008
It seems the poll icon is still the default. And that check box I noted is still there, even though vm said all the kinks were out since then, so I believe that one was overlooked. Also, Crumb hasn't been banned.

Re: Forum Upgrade 2008
Dave did an excellent job at a very reasonable price, so I'm going to take care of the rest of the little tweaks myself. (Which unfortunately means it may take a few days, but I promise we'll be good by COB Sunday.)
Let's have a nice round of for Dave!

Re: Forum Upgrade 2008
How are you notified that someone's requested your hand in friendship? Or are you?
I ask because when I sent a request to Uthgar, it was accepted immediately because I found that he had previously sent me a request, but I was not notified in any way that I'm aware of of this request.
I ask because it would be sucky if someone sent a request and you didn't respond which led him/her to think that you didn't like him/her.
