So Elouise what do you think of the Dl and Gonzo tussle? Do you have any suspects at this time?

Well, I was reading through and noting how Gonzo was piled on like a snowball into an avalanche, for defending himself over a faulty FOS and vote from lyrical and the consequently the others. Then I thought the whole bey thing, which looks like it's an ongoing ploy in his gameplay, does not belong here but in some "tactics for selfish mafia" manual, along with all the arguments for and against. I think it's noteworthy that one of the two people who had urged bey to read his role PM was quick to drop this after Demi's comment about the possibility of scum's concern about it.
Lyrical is rather gung-ho with hyperbolic and illogical reasoning for criticising and voting. First describing deadlokd's posts as 'panic' and then voting Gonzo based on what at the time was .. nothing at all.
Apart from those observations, I'm just watching people in for now .. getting a feel for style and behaviour.

So Jerome, have you caught up? Read the thread? Anything constructive to add?

From what I know of lyrical's gameplay, she's no-one's 'white night'. Whether she's town or scum, she plays for her team with a team win in mind. For town players, it's discerning which team she's on that is the tricky bit.

The Gonzowagon isn't going anywhere; at the moment, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. It's not like I'm unfamiliar with townflail or anything.
Sorely tempted to jump on the Gnomewagon, though.

So I cardflipped at rationalia. I was scum. The mayor and the the don. So lyrical is right my gameplay is different I was just frustrated that I was put in position where I had to defend my scum behavior over there in another game. Mostly because Contra was town in that game and I know he is reading this one and because Dagon was our GM and he will modkill rulebreakers. I think I was killed by a vig. I don't know. Glad I can focus on this game now.

That's a pity. I wanted to see how he would post when he came back. Would we get more flail, or more reasoning?
Jerome just seems like he's playing stupid, not necessarily scum.

LOL I saw that. I guess dagon knew how clueless I was being so he cut some slack. Good game on ratz btw for you, gonzo.

Of course it was serious question, Adem. Adding pressure just to find flail is a scummy thing to do. It's an excuse for an otherwise baseless vote. A good town player would question another for their motivations and draw a conclusion based on their answer. You weren't interested in my motivations for voting for lyrical and you still aren't even though you've since admitted her vote on me meant nothing in terms of meta. If you are voting for me for revenge voting, as you originally stated, you've since changed your reasoning as a result of suspicion. If you were voting for me just to find flail, you are playing an anti-town game. What's most strange about all of this is that you are one of the only other people to have been playing in that same game with us, besides Jerome. The fact that it hadn't even occurred to you that lyrical's meta could have had deeper ramifications is surprising.

ok as I said before I had not made up my mind about demi, but this kinda looks like she is screaming that she is scum to me.
I still feel pretty good about were my vote is at the moment, so I am not changing it yet.
The bey thing doesnt bother me, and it shouldnt bother any one who is a townie, since his play right now ATM will help town. Once he reads the pm it could be a different story though. So I am not going to vote for bey till I can see some scummy behavior out of him.
I am kinda lost on the Jerome thing. I have read the thread but nothing has stuck out to me on that one.
Sorry I am not posting as much as I used to, its very busy here. The only time I have for the PC is when I am not at work and when there is no one else on it. Right now we have 4 people that use it on a daily basis, so it is difficult for me to be on all the time. I do check in when I can and read and voice my opinion. Sorry if this is inconvenient for anyone.

I don't think so. The idea is pressure --> flail --> inconsistencies. Putting pressure on someone is an ok reason to vote for them, esp on day 1 when there's not much else to do. 'Course like I said before, I don't believe flailing is a lynchable offense in and of itself. It's the slip-ups you're looking for, and they're more likely when someone's back is to the wall.
Speaking of which, I'm going to Vote: JEROME, in the vain hope that putting his back against the wall will spark some reading comprehension.

My original vote was more or less to get my feet wet since this is my first game, and Gonzo's was the only post that said anything I could scrutinize.
The sheer number of words he's posted since makes me kinda confused and suspicious, because I don't know if that's normal for him and he's just a talky type whether townie or scum, whether it's purposefully meant to cause confusion in the hopes that confuddlement will overpower suspicion, or whether he truly doth protest too much apparently known as "flailing".
Until the fog of confusion lifts, or someone else catches my eye as suspicious, I think I'll let my vote stand.

What don't you understand about what I've said, LS? I'll be happy to explain whatever I can.
I admit to posting a lot of substance in any game of mafia, but I do so always to further prove a point.
