Re: Shiny new RPG in shiny new chat?
Can we get a ruling on this? It will help me decide when I'm going to leave work.

Re: Shiny new RPG in shiny new chat?
Another night down, looks like. I'll see if I can get my school shit together and maybe I can take over. Especially if I can get the module all set up in Maptools like Adam has, and practice using it.
If Adam doesn't/can't show next week plan on me DMing.

Re: Shiny new RPG in shiny new chat?
Adam, if you get a minute I would appreciate the module files for Maptools, especially if you can somehow get me the ones that we used so we can pick it up from the current game-state without me having to do any actual work...
I can't seem to find the campaign files for maptool via a few google searches. I'll try some more in depth searching tomorrow.

Re: Shiny new RPG in shiny new chat?
OK, I'm retarded. It's been so long since we played that I totally spaced it and went out with coworkers on Thursday night. Sorry.
Kael, I'll get you those files when I get home.

Obviously you are not qualified to DM. You went "out" with other human beings? What's that like?

Re: Shiny new RPG in shiny new chat?
They are too big to email...I'm going to have to use a file upload site. I'll post them later today.

Re: Shiny new RPG in shiny new chat?
Would it be possible to get them through maptool when I'm connected to your server? I have no idea, that's why I'm asking...
Also: Will you be here tomorrow, or do I need to panic?

Re: Shiny new RPG in shiny new chat?
What is it with you people and your messed-up, non-D&D-related priorities?
At the very least I should be able to get my hands on a hard copy of the module tonight and we can muddle through an encounter or two, if Adam isn't here. It just might end up being only on the forum chat instead of using maptool. We'll see.

Re: Shiny new RPG in shiny new chat?
Not that I'm particularly optimistic, but is there any chance we'll actually be doing this tonight?

Re: Shiny new RPG in shiny new chat?
zudo! Who said you could internets in another State?!
ETA: Speaking of old threads, it's really too bad this didn't work out better. Would anyone be interested in trying Play-By-Post, since we never found a night we could all be online? Takes longer, of course, but scheduling wouldn't be a problem.

Re: Shiny new RPG in shiny new chat?
I'm having a pretty difficult time imagining 4E combat by post.

Re: Shiny new RPG in shiny new chat?
wouldn't be all that different from 3e combat by post, which I've done. It is slow, but not so bad if the DM keeps good records. Also, post attacks and damage at the same time, and just ignore damage if the attack ends up missing.
