One, lysol ain't made for skin. Especially genital-area skin. Ouch.

Most of these are indeed bacteria, and the ingredients in Purell and other hand sanitizers work better against bacteria than viruses.
One thing to consider is irritation, which can cause breaks in the skin--making you more, not less, susceptible to pathogens. Better IMO to ask your partner to be tested, use condoms regularly if they're unsure of their status (or you are), and just be as careful as possible.
