I have one more coat of house paint (I don't like where this is going, btw; it started out as just the downstairs, but I just finished the stairwell going up) before I switch to the stapler project for the afternoon. I think it needs a bath in denatured alcohol to get good and de-greased, since I can't get in some of the nooks and crannies.
And just to justify my decision to paint it red: Swingline didn't make a red stapler until after
Office Space. I plan to make a vintage one red and hawt. Anyway, if I don't like it, I'll just strip the paint off again and sandblast it to a nice steel finish.
