I agree! Pale Ales of the World, Piss Off!

Not really much of a beer drinker, but after enough time and variety, I've never found a light colored beer anywhere as good as a dark one. :rootbeer:

Let me be clear: Pale Ale is my beer of preference, but only when "Pale" is just to distinguish it from your namesake, and from stout. The same applies; a yellow-coloured pale ale is probably bland and boring. Good "pale" ales are much darker than (*spits*) lager.

Exception exist. Wheat beers can be good.

Agreed. Some of my favorite ales are pales, although here I have to wade through a gazillion IPAs to find them. I don't hate IPAs, but for fucksakes, we don't need 2/3 of the cold racks devoted to them. Deschutes Mirror Pond Pale Ale is awesome. And since this is the Trader Joe's thread, both Jumping Cow and Fat Weasel Ale are fantastic, and incredibly cheap.

Trader Joe's in Tulsa doesn't have wine and beer. It will soon though, Oklahomans voted to allow grocery and convenience stores to sell refrigerated high point beer and wine. Also, now the liquors stores can sell cold beer. What next, drive-up windows at the liquor stores?

Ha ha, you guys. I did that with the pale ales. I was like, "Make most beers pale ales," and so they did. Sucks to be you, I guess.

My usual favorites are Dale's Pale Ale from Oskar Blues and Ranger IPA from New Belgium, both of which are local. There are lots of great ones, though.

We only just started getting Trader Joe's in Colorado, and none are close by. And our chain stores don't sell beer* and wine yet, though they're phasing that in much to my dismay.

I'm still going to come in your Trader Joe's thread to make fun of you, though.

* Except 3.2% LOL.
